Job summary

WKL Consultancy in Utrecht, Netherlands, is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to build and automate Azure infrastructure, ensuring a secure hosting environment for SaaS solutions. You will work with the Cloud Platform Team to improve availability, scalability, and performance, while enabling customers to run their SaaS apps confidently.

The role requires 4–5 years of cloud experience, hands-on Azure, IaC (Bicep), Azure DevOps, and AVD expertise, plus strong ownership and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in a professional cloud or infrastructure environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Bicep.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with PowerShell DSC and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Azure PaaS services, networking, storage, and security.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with security and patch management tools such as Microsoft Defender, Ivanti Security Controls, or Tenable.
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Curious about new technologies and eager to keep learning.
• Enjoy working collaboratively within a professional engineering team.
• Fluent in English.
• EU citizenship or a valid permanent residence or partner visa (no visa sponsorship available).
