Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV is seeking an Automotive Product Engineer to own released automotive IC products within the supply chain and drive qualification, characterization and cost/quality improvements. You will collaborate across product engineering, manufacturing, quality and operations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in semiconductors, strong project management, and a customer-focused mindset. English proficiency and structured, analytical work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (Physics, Electronics, Information & Computer Engineering)
• 5+ years in semiconductor product engineering or similar
• Basic understanding of statistics
• Strong project management skills
• Experience with quality methods (FMEA, DOE, 8D) is beneficial
• Knowledge of IC fabrication and testing is advantageous
• Customer-oriented mindset and strong communication across teams
• AI know-how is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own automotive IC products after release within the supply chain
• Define and drive product characterization and qualification activities
• Support ramp-up of new products, especially in UWB and RF/LF areas
• Track and report product performance for cost and quality
• Drive continuous product improvements for cost, quality and issues
• Lead and support operations projects like back-end second-sourcing
