Job summary

Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee the hotel's technical systems and lead maintenance activities on-site in Amsterdam. You will monitor repairs, coordinate with external suppliers, and contribute to safety and energy efficiency while supporting the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires a technical background, hands-on problem solving, and leadership to motivate the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• You have a technical background and work experience in this field.
• Experience in a hotel or service environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance services for the hotel's technical systems and carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare rosters and give instructions regarding electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Manage maintenance contacts with external companies for malfunctions in lifts, air conditioning, cooling and sprinkler installations.
• Oversee periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/cleaning of equipment, and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, working conditions, HACCP and presentation methods.

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for monitoring all maintenance services for the building's technical systems and carrying out repair and maintenance work.

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you support the Maintenance Manager, and you are jointly responsible for all technical aspects within the hotel. This varies from solving malfunctions to carrying out repairs and maintenance on installations, energy supplies, sanitary facilities, and lighting. You motivate and enthuse team members to get the best out of themselves, you prepare rosters, and you give instructions regarding electrical and mechanical aspects.
