Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV is seeking an Assistant Controller for our Leeuwarden location. You will manage accurate financial administration, timely reporting, and reliable analyses, collaborating with the Finance Manager and other departments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, at least 5 years in finance, ERP experience, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or Accountancy.
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial role.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of InforCE, ISPnext, Prophix or Coupa is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or Dutch GAAP.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• A proactive, analytical, and accurate work approach combined with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing and reviewing financial data, including journal entries and VAT and ICP filings.
• Performing cost control, project control, internal audits, and cashflow planning.
• Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and audit files.
• Supporting accounts receivable management, including credit limits and contact with the credit insurer.
• Identifying discrepancies and actively contributing to process improvements within Finance.
• Collaborating constructively with other departments within Neways.
