Job summary

Start People is seeking a proactive Financial Controller to ensure smooth financial processes, closings, and reporting for the group, including preparation of reports for the German parent company.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, margin monitoring, cost prices, and inventory valuation, while driving process improvements and internal controls to strengthen management information and VAT compliance.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO degree in finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and process-driven.

Responsibilities

• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

As a financial controller, you ensure smooth financial processes and reporting. You’ll handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, preparing reports for our parent company in Germany. You’ll oversee the financial administration, including accounts payable, receivable, and balance specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Collaborating closely with the Site Manager and operations team, you’ll monitor margins, cost prices, and inventory valuation. You’ll also identify opportunities to optimize financial processes, enhance internal controls, and improve VAT compliance. Your proactive approach will contribute to professionalizing management information and creating actionable KPIs for decision-making.
