Job summary

The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a passionate Baker to join Janine Bakery in Amsterdam. You will bake breads, pastries, and cakes, following recipes and standards, and collaborate with the team to meet production schedules for our guests.

We value hands-on experience in artisanal dough, sourdough is a plus, and a willingness to learn and grow within our international hotel environment. Flexible shifts include early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven baking experience in bakeries, hotels, or restaurants.
• Skilled in dough preparation, proofing, shaping, and finishing.
• Experience with artisanal breads and pastries; sourdough knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, shape, and bake breads, pastries and cakes following recipes.
• Assist with sourdough starters and artisanal techniques.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment per hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and guest demand.
• Participate in training and apply new skills to improve.
