Job summary

Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Verona, VA, USA, is seeking a technical marketing support specialist to help develop and implement customer applications for complex operating systems. You will collaborate with field sales and vendors to create tailored packages and cost estimates, while preparing technical data for customers and ensuring proper documentation.

The role requires a 4 Year Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1–2 years’ experience in rotating equipment, with Lean Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years’ experience in the rotating equipment industry.
• Basic knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge.
• White belt Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field sales to pursue targeted industries and accounts using internal tools.
• Coordinate with component vendors to integrate Sumitomo products into prepared packages for industry targets.
• Perform cost analyses of inquiries and quotations between SHI and SMA sales force.
• Review customer inquiries and project requirements to establish scope and costing.
• Develop detailed comments to client project specifications.
• Assist in evaluating non-standard product requests, applications, and capabilities.
• Work with Sales, Customers and Vendors to obtain project information and develop equipment applications.
• Prepare technical data for internal and external customers.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
