Job summary

ABB B.V. in Rotterdam seeks a Sales Support Specialist to combine technical LV drive expertise with commercial responsibilities, translating customer needs into optimal solutions and quotations.

You’ll answer questions, prepare calculations, support Sales Engineers, and help guide projects from inquiry to order, with hybrid work from home several days a week. Qualifications

• An MBO-level degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of drive technology is an advantage.
• Experience in an internal sales or commercial support role is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Strong collaboration skills; you are a team player who takes ownership.
• Affinity with digital systems; experience with Salesforce is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Answer technical and commercial questions from customers throughout the sales process.
• Advise customers on the right low-voltage drive (LV drive) and motor solutions.
• Translate international ABB concepts and solutions into applications for the local market.
• Prepare calculations and convert them into quotations and orders.
• Support Sales Engineers with quotations and commercial opportunities.
• Assist with order processing and ensure a smooth handover from quotation to order.
• Guide projects from initial customer inquiry through to order placement while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
