Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Verona, VA seeks a full-time Mechanical Drafter to support customer orders by preparing general arrangement drawings and providing basic sales order support.

Purpose And Scope Of Job

Primarily responsible for the preparation general arrangement drawings to document customer orders and providing basic sales order support.

Essential Functions (other Duties May Be Assigned)

• Provide sales order support with general arrangement drawings.


• Provide general design support of product components and accessories.


• Maintain engineering schedule.


• Prepare general design drawings to support order requirements and meet design schedules.


• Check BOM to support customer orders

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering, Drafting and Design or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.


• Two (2) years of experience as a designer or mechanical drafter.


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor.
