Job summary

Infinite in The Netherlands seeks an Application Engineer to be a trusted technical advisor for Ansys Mechanical users. You will provide technical support, deliver workshops, and assist in pre-sales by demonstrating simulation workflows and advising on best practices.

The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, strong FEA knowledge, and fluency in English. Dutch or French are a plus; hybrid work is offered with ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and FEA.
  • Experience with Ansys Mechanical (Workbench and/or APDL) or similar FEA software.

Responsibilities

  • Solve structural, thermal, dynamic, and nonlinear simulation challenges.
  • Deliver customer training, workshops, and webinars.

  • Collaborate with Ansys technical teams on advanced support cases.

Application Engineer - Mechanical Simulation

As an Application Engineer, you'll be a trusted technical advisor for Ansys Mechanical users. You'll support customers through technical support, training, and pre-sales activities, from troubleshooting complex simulations to delivering workshops and demonstrating simulation workflows.

Your mission
  • Provide technical support to Ansys Mechanical users via our engineering helpdesk.
  • Solve structural, thermal, dynamic, and nonlinear simulation challenges.
  • Deliver customer training, workshops, and webinars.
  • Support pre-sales by demonstrating Ansys Mechanical and advising on simulation workflows.

Your superpowers

You're passionate about solving technical problems and enjoy working with customers. You communicate complex concepts clearly and like helping others succeed.

You have:

  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Experience with Ansys Mechanical (Workbench and/or APDL) or similar FEA software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent English; Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
