Structural Applications Engineer – Dutch & English

Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands

Employment: Full‑time, 1 year with view to permanent contract, start ASAP.

Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of advanced structural engineering software. They are looking for an experienced Structural Applications Engineer to support customers using their analysis software.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users of structural engineering software
  • Assist customers with modelling, analysis workflows, and Eurocode-based design questions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to software use and engineering applications
  • Deliver training sessions, webinars, demonstrations, and onboarding for new users
  • Support implementation of software into engineering workflows
  • Act as a bridge between customers and Product/R&D teams
  • Gather user feedback and translate it into product improvement input
  • Develop deep expertise in structural software solutions and applications
Candidate Profile
  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in structural engineering, engineering software support, applications engineering, or technical consulting
  • Experience with structural or engineering software (e.g. SCIA, RFEM, Tekla, Autodesk Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, MatrixFrame)
  • Solid understanding of structural behaviour, FEM, and engineering design principles
  • Strong communication skills and customer‑oriented mindset
  • Comfortable explaining technical concepts to both engineers and non‑engineers
  • Motivated by combining engineering expertise with software and customer interaction
