Multi Pilot Simulations BV (MPS) designs and develops flight simulators and training equipment for professional organizations that train pilots. MPS sells, produces, installs, and maintains its simulators around the world. We are a customer-oriented, innovative, and high-quality organization with 50 colleagues at home and abroad.

The job:

The Application Engineer plays a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for innovative flight simulators. Operating in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you start with a strong focus on mechanical engineering while gradually expanding your scope into electronics and software. You work directly on product improvement, ensuring seamless integration between mechanical design, physical hardware, and overall simulator performance. In addition, you actively contribute to optimizing engineering processes and provide hands‑on support during assembly, testing, and field deployment.

What will you be doing?

You will focus primarily on designing, detailing, and modeling mechanical systems using SolidWorks. Working within a specialized team of five engineers, you actively contribute to product innovation, process optimization, and practical problem‑solving.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Design, draft, and refine mechanical products and systems in SolidWorks.
  • Identify and implement smart, practical solutions for continuous product and process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to safeguard the technical quality and innovation of flight simulators.
  • Assemble, install, and test (new) components and systems in the workshop.
  • Support field installations and testing on‑site at customer locations when required.
  • Step‑by‑step expand your responsibilities into electronics or software integration after your first year.

Who are you?

As an Application Engineer, you are motivated, hands‑on, and eager to build a broad technical understanding across multiple disciplines.

Your profile:

  • MBO 4 or HBO level of education in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Building, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technician, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience and a strong affinity with mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with CAD-software, ideally SolidWorks
  • Good foundational understanding of electrical engineering
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Nice to have: Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), basic programming skills in C# or C++, or prior experience in multidisciplinary high‑tech environments

What do we offer?

  • Good employment conditions in an internationally operating company.
  • A lot of freedom to carry out your work at different locations.
  • An informal working atmosphere.
  • A growing team with driven colleagues.
  • Various attractive secondary employment conditions, such as significant travel allowance, pension contribution and leave options.

MPS is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
