Job summary

ATS Global is seeking a Senior Application Engineer - MES to design, implement, and optimize software solutions for client IT/OT landscapes. You will lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across sales and product teams in a hybrid client/site model.

Ideal candidates have strong MES product expertise, MV SQL Server/T‑SQL skills, and experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master in relevant engineering or IT field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven software design, development and implementation in industrial environments.
• Track record of project success and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales on demos, advice, and estimations.
• Lead technical discussions and guide clients through the solution lifecycle.
• Translate operational challenges into tailored MES solutions.
• Map client needs to product capabilities within manufacturing processes.
• Create functional and technical specifications to reduce ambiguity.
• Configure and customize solutions including IT/OT integrations.
• Document solutions, provide training, and ensure long‑term usability.
• Lead technical execution, delegate tasks, and review junior engineers.
• Work across multidisciplinary teams in a knowledge‑sharing culture.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and resolve conflicts when needed.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues to support growth.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and adapt quickly.
• Optimize workflows and quality assurance practices.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to drive innovation.

What you bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Technical Business Administration) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven achievements in software design, development, and implementation, ideally in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Track record of project success and technical leadership.

• Strong knowledge of multiple programming and scripting languages.
• Expertise in database design, scripting, and performance.
• Innovative problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English.

• In-depth expertise with MES software products.
