Job summary

Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam invites applications for an Events Planning & Coordination Intern. Join a dynamic team to support venue rentals, plan and execute events, and assist with tours, while gaining hands-on experience in operations and front desk duties.

The internship is open to HBO or WO students in Amsterdam, with in-person work required, 6 months preferred, and flexible hours. English proficiency preferred; Dutch a plus. Weekly staff events and supportive team culture included.

Qualifications

• Located near Amsterdam (in-person work necessary).
• Currently enrolled in an HBO or WO programme (internship).
• Hours: part-time or full-time, depending on your programme requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of our venue rental offering as part of our longer-term strategy.
• Supporting the coordination, planning, scheduling and execution of events and private tours.
• Handling administrative tasks related to events including communications, logistics, supplier contact, and follow-up.
• Floor managing during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the ground.
• Taking up operational work in the museum when needed, including front desk duties.
