Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Associate Manager to guide our daily customs operations and mentor growing teams within the European Customs & Exports (EC&E) department.

You will oversee execution of trade objectives, ensure compliance, manage vendor spend, develop staff, and act as a bridge between strategy and delivery while optimizing KPIs and systems like SAP.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in shipping, transportation, or warehouse/logistics operations; CPG or food industry strongly preferrred.
• Advanced Proficiency with ERP/TMS/WMS systems (SAP preferred), EDI transactions, carrier portals, and appointment scheduling tools.
• Excellent knowledge of export/import processes, Incoterms, and shipping documentations.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Guide daily customs operations and mentor teams to improve delivery performance.
• Oversee execution of trade and customs objectives and ensure compliance and documentation accuracy across lanes.
• Audit documentation and identify potential risks before they impact the business.
• Escalation management and primary contact for resolving bottlenecks or complex disputes.
• Maintain SOP adherence and drive continuous improvement across EC&E activities.
• Monitor KPIs (clearance lead times, broker performance) and take corrective actions as needed.
• Serve as systems expert for OTM/GTM/SAP and assist with master data management.
