Job summary

Adyen's Networking Team in Amsterdam is seeking a team lead to design, deploy, and optimize global networking infrastructure. You will mentor a diverse, talented team while coordinating with product and engineers to align goals with platform engineering ambitions.

You will drive operations, automation, and the technical direction of the team, delivering secure and scalable networking services across the globe from the Amsterdam office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and optimizing global network infrastructure environments.
• Experience in managing IT teams and products.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing) and firewalling.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Puppet.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, vendors, and other teams to ensure the successful deployment of networking infrastructure in Adyen.
• Design, implement, and optimize Adyen networking infrastructure.
• Set clear individual and team goals that align with our strategic engineering ambitions in close collaboration with the product manager.
• Take responsibility for the operation and improvement of the networking team at Adyen.
• Deploy, scale, and automate a network spanning the globe.
• Drive the technical direction of the team.
• Maintain sources of truth, performance and health metrics, and the full appliance lifecycle.
