Job summary

Gigs, Amsterdam-based, is seeking a Controlling & Accounting Lead to own the financial backbone of a high-growth group. You will design and build the internal control framework, drive fast month-end close, and ensure scalable financial infrastructure across a global multi-entity structure.

You will lead a small team today and shape the finance function for an IPO-ready future, leveraging AI-native tools like Campfire and Ramp to automate controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Audit background and ability to build finance function from ground up.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across consolidation, revenue recognition, etc.
• Experience designing internal controls and control environments.
• Ability to translate numbers into actionable insights for decision-making.
• Tech-savvy with a vision for using AI in finance processes.
• Proven leadership to grow a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Master the close and centralize financial data in a single AI-native ERP.
• Build an AI-native internal control framework from the ground up.
• Optimize end-to-end processes across P2P, R2R, O2C, and related cycles.
• Deliver management reporting with granular, decision-ready insights.
• Own technical accounting topics and escalate as needed.
• Enable global expansion and support new entities' openings.
• Lead a small team now (2-3 people) and scale as the company grows.
• Design the finance function you will evolve into for IPO readiness.
