Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join the Group Finance team in Amsterdam. You will drive financial excellence across a global footprint, redesigning processes with automation and modern tooling to enable a continuous, low-touch close while preserving strong controls.

You will partner with FinOps and FDT to optimize core accounting, manage intercompany framework, lead external audits, and own the monthly consolidated P&L close with clear variance analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting, or external audit (Big 4 a strong plus).
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience managing complex external audits.
• Track record in process optimization and automation, with ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with FinOps and Financial Data Teams to optimize core accounting processes and drive a low-touch close.
• Lead audit readiness, manage group audit deliverables, and coordinate firm rotation.
• Own monthly consolidated P&L one pager and explain variances with business context.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and coordinate month-end close.
• Own consolidation and regional materiality thresholds and upskill colleagues.
