Job summary

Misti in Arnhem is seeking an enthusiastic welder to perform MIG/MAG welding and assemble steel constructions in our ship repair and crane-producing environment. You will work on new products and ship installations, applying quality-focused workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG/MAG welding.

• Work accurately with an eye for quality.
• Preferably hold a category B and BE driving licence.

Job description

All cranes are custom-built according to the customer’s specifications, which means no two projects are ever the same. You get satisfaction from working with high-quality materials and building premium products together with a skilled and enthusiastic team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic welder with experience in MIG/MAG welding and assembling steel constructions from technical drawings.

Activities

• Performing welding and steel construction work on new products
• Performing installation work on board ships

• Carrying out your work safely for yourself and those around you
• Reporting your findings and completed work

Requirements

• You have experience with MIG/MAG welding
• You have experience and/or affinity with shipbuilding, crane construction, and working with large steel structures
• You have knowledge of welding, fabrication, and steel construction work
• You are enthusiastic, hardworking, and willing to develop yourself further
• You work accurately and have an eye for quality
• Preferably, you hold a category B and BE driving licence

Conditions

• A gross monthly salary between €2,800 and €4,000, based on a 38-hour work week, depending on your knowledge, commitment, and experience
• 25 vacation days + 13 ATV days per year

Company Profile

Ship repair company Misti was founded in 1984 and was located on the Nieuwe Kade in Arnhem for many years. During this period, the company carried out ship repairs, shipbuilding projects, and ship crane construction.

In 2007, Misti relocated to the New Port of Arnhem. Following its acquisition in 2018, the company specialised in the construction of ship cranes and telescopic spud poles.

Misti focuses on two core activities. On the one hand, the company designs and manufactures truck-mounted cranes, gangway cranes, davits, MOB cranes, and bunker booms for applications on ships, offshore installations, and shore-based projects. On the other hand, Misti develops telescopic spud poles featuring special options and an extra heavy-duty construction as standard.

Working closely with the adjacent shipyard, Misti employs approximately 30 passionate employees who contribute daily to high-quality custom-built solutions. An electrical engineering company, French Technical Services, is located in the same building and is responsible for developing the electrical systems used in Misti’s products.
