Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. in Veghel seeks an IT Solution Support Engineer to maintain and improve mission-critical airport IT environments worldwide. You will handle Linux/Windows servers, databases, virtualization, middleware, and interfaces across multiple platforms.

You will collaborate with global teams to resolve incidents, perform upgrades, and strengthen security and resilience while driving automation. English proficiency and willingness to travel internationally are essential.

Qualifications

• As a degree holder in Computer Science/IT, you show a strong affinity for enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Foundational Linux and Windows Server administration knowledge with Oracle/SQL exposure.
• Understanding of middleware, hosting, system integrations, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V; monitoring with Nagios is a plus.
• Cybersecurity affinity, vulnerability management, patching, and scripting/automation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; professional English; able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation and performance of mission-critical airport IT environments.
• Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Upgrade OS, databases, middleware, and applications; patch management and lifecycle activities.
• Monitor health, back up, recover, and troubleshoot interfaces between apps, databases, and automation systems.
• Develop scripts/automation to improve efficiency and support continuous service improvement.
• Serve as technical escalation point during deployments and 24/7 international support.
