Job summary

Lemonade in Amsterdam is seeking an Actuary to lead reserving and Solvency II calculations while shaping AI-driven workflows for faster, leaner actuarial work. You’ll sit at the intersection of finance and insurance and own core regulatory submissions.

With 4+ years in non-life actuarial roles and a Master’s in Actuarial Science or Econometrics, you’ll translate data into actionable insights for management and help Lemonade scale across Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of non-life actuarial experience, ideally in personal lines.
• Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Econometrics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with reserving and Solvency II capital requirement calculations.
• Experience with data science tools and AI/automation is a plus.
• Experience in financial reporting for regulated insurers.
• Strong ability to translate complex results for management.

Responsibilities

• Own reserving processes and Solvency II calculations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to key financial reporting deliverables — including SFCR, RSR, ORSA, and QRTs.
• Build and refine AI-driven workflows that make actuarial work faster and more scalable.
• Identify trends in data and communicate insights to inform business decisions.
• Maintain high actuarial compliance and professional standards as Lemonade expands in Europe.

In this role you'll

• Own reserving processes and Solvency II calculations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all regulatory submissions
• Contribute to key financial reporting deliverables — including SFCR, RSR, ORSA, and QRTs — working closely with the wider team to meet regulatory deadlines
• Build and refine AI-driven workflows that make traditional actuarial work faster, leaner, and more scalable
• Identify trends in data, translate them into clear insights, and communicate findings that inform real business decisions
• Continuously raise the bar on actuarial compliance and professional standards as Lemonade grows across Europe

What You'll Need

• 4+ years of non-life actuarial experience, ideally with a focus on personal lines
• A Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Econometrics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with reserving and Solvency II capital requirement calculations
• Familiarity with data science tools like Python or R, and a genuine comfort working alongside AI and automation
• Experience in financial reporting for regulated insurers
• The ability to take complex results and communicate them clearly to management and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal English — this is a must
• Ready to work in an office environment most days of the week
