Job summary

NetZero in Amsterdam is seeking an Accountant to join its growing finance team, working closely with the Financial Controller and gaining broad exposure across an international group.

Role covers financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and IFRS compliance within a rapidly expanding renewable energy platform that operates across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Qualified or nearing qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Good knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with month-end accounts and reconciliations.
• International or multi-entity experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Perform month-end close and year-end close processes.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Undertake group and consolidated reporting.
• Ensure statutory reporting and IFRS compliance.
• Improve financial controls and processes.
• Support wider finance projects and business growth.

Ready to take your accounting career into the renewable energy sector?

I’m working with an exciting organisation operating across multiple international markets, developing and operating large-scale solar, battery storage and renewable energy projects.

They are looking for an Accountant to join their growing finance team in Amsterdam, working closely with the Financial Controller and gaining broad exposure across an international group.

What you’ll be doing:

• Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Month-end and year-end close
• Balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
• Group and consolidated reporting
• Statutory reporting and IFRS
• Improving financial controls and processes
• Supporting wider finance projects and business growth

What they’re looking for:

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent – qualified or nearing qualification
• Strong financial accounting / reporting experience
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Experience with month-end accounts and reconciliations
• International or multi-entity experience is advantageous
• Renewable energy, infrastructure or project-based experience is a bonus, not essential
