Job description

We are supporting a growing international renewable energy business in the search for a Financial Controller to join their Amsterdam-based finance team.

This is a high-impact role with responsibility across group reporting, consolidation, and financial control within a multi-entity, international structure.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the group, including:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements (IFRS)
• Managing and improving the group consolidation process
• Supporting statutory reporting and year-end accounts
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies
• Leading month-end and year-end close processes
• Acting as a key contact for external auditors
• Preparing technical accounting papers
• Driving improvements in controls, reporting, and processes
• Supporting finance-led projects linked to growth and operational efficiency

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong experience in financial control, group reporting, and consolidation
• Excellent IFRS knowledge
• Background in renewable energy (essential)
• Experience in international / multi-entity environments
• Strong technical and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Background

• Trained in a leading firm such as KPMG, Deloitte, PwC or EY
• Experience across practice + industry
• Exposure to fast-growth, project-led or infrastructure-backed energy businesses (Projects in development).
• Experience with consolidation across a group.
