Accountant – Rotterdam

Client

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are urgently seeking an Accountant to join their office in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out monthly accounting and reporting of the financial results of the company
• Carrying out the annual statutory accounting and audit
• Conducting all aspects of the procure to pay function: including accounts payable, supplier master data, banks, etc.
• Coordinating with external parties regarding compliance fulfilment such as lenders, partners, and tax compliance requirements
• Conducting requests outside of the direct finance and accounting department, such as providing administrative support
• Preparing and filing Dutch VAT returns and VAT reconciliation reports

Profile

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, ideally with a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA
• At least 5-7 years’ experience in accounting, with 2-3 years in a similar role
• Up to date knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and tax leading practices and regulations
• Familiar with ERP systems and Financial Reporting Systems
• Fluent in English, with either Dutch language skills or extensive experience of working in the Netherlands
