Job summary

Wlgroup in Brunssum, Netherlands, is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to build, configure and maintain the core services layer. You will manage VMware environments, Microsoft services, storage and backup, and ensure robust handover documentation for future engineers.

The role requires hands-on work on site in Brunssum with occasional night shifts and monthly travel to other European locations. Strong AD/Exchange and VMware skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in an infrastructure role.
• Strong depth in VMware vSphere and Veeam backup.
• Solid Microsoft server administration: Windows Server, Exchange, AD, DNS, group policy.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and validate the core services layer and prepare them for operational handover.
• Run the VMware estate day to day — vSphere, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, update services; manage storage and backup.
• Administer the Microsoft core: Active Directory, domain trusts, Exchange, DNS, group policy, software deployment and endpoint protection.
• Take third-line incidents and changes through to closure with proper root-cause analysis.
• Keep documentation, procedures and configuration records accurate and auditable.
• Report monthly on service performance against agreed measures.
