The objective of the position is to support the superior in the monthly preparation of management and accounting reports.
The incumbent will also assist the superior in the budget and quarterly forecast review process.
Ensures that the company’s policies and standard operating procedures are strictly adhered to in order to meet the requirements of the internal audit procedures.
Supervises the day-to-day routine operational work (e.g., data entries, reporting) and functions of the team reporting to the incumbent to ensure orderly and prompt bookkeeping and transactions in accordance with approved accounting standards.
Oversees compliance matters and the internal control system. Manages projects rolled out by global/regional teams.
The incumbent is also required to support internal customers in accounting matters, as well as external customers such as auditors, tax agents, secretaries, and clients. Must be hands-on, able to coach, support, and lead the team. Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide timely reporting to regional offices.
Provide assistance to Singapore operations as needed.
Job Requirements:
Qualified Accountant
Minimum 12 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in managing a team.
Experience managing the full spectrum of finance functions.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Candidates with solid commercial experience in MNCs are preferred. Commercial experience includes finance operations such as month-end closing. Experience in MNCs is valued for meeting tight deadlines through regional/global coordination.
