A global recruitment agency is seeking an RTR Accountant based in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement and focuses on end-to-end Record-to-Report activities, including managing general ledger and preparing financial statements. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, professional certification, and experience in the FMCG industry. - Handle end-to-end Record-to-Report activities, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including trial balance preparation and variance analysis.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, internal controls, and support internal/external audits.
- Provide data for tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful RTR Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in the FMCG industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
