Position Summary

Plant Engineer

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and performing regular audits on safety control programs.

• Manage a safe working environment that results in attaining target of ZERO accidents.
• Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations.
• Deputies Plant Manager and RPO responsibility when required.
• Continuous improvement of works method to reduce time to repair (MTTR) and mean time before failure (MTBF).
• Responsible for emergency unplanned breakdown and providing technical solutions related to breakdown issues.
• Provide analysis of critical spare parts and stock control.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities for process improvement and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.

Specific Work Requirements

• Required engineering related skills in mechanical and electrical/electronic.
• Familiarity with maintenance programs using PM tools or CMMS.
• Dealing with authorities on law and regulation.

• Prior experience with internal procedure HSE and COSHH requirement.

• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Must have PC experience and working familiarity of desktop applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education Degree

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General.

Required Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as Plant Engineer or in the same industry with knowledge of liaison with BOMBA, DOSH, DOE.
