Job summary

Maruwa (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a Yield Engineer to optimise manufacturing processes and drive continual improvements for productivity and efficiency. This full-time role is based in Melaka, requiring hands-on process engineering expertise to deliver top-quality results for the organisation.

You will analyse production data to identify optimisation opportunities, design implementations to increase throughput and reduce waste, and support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a process/ yield engineering role in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven improvements.
• Familiarity with process control systems, SPC, and lean manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with teamwork ability.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse production data to identify opportunities for process optimisation and yield improvement.

Develop and maintain process control systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards

Provide technical support and guidance to production teams

Document and report on process performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions

Job requirements

Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in a process engineering or yield engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive process improvements

Familiarity with process control systems, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing principles
