Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking an entry-level yard operative to assist with daily yard operations, loading, unloading, and maintaining equipment. You will perform inspections, handle basic maintenance, and ensure work areas meet company standards, while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily yard operations including loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and storing equipment and containers.
• Perform basic inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of offshore equipment and containers for rental and return.
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely. Forklift operation may be required if licensed and authorised.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, organised, and maintained to company standards.
• Assist with stock control, asset identification, labelling, and inventory checks.
• Complete required documentation accurately, including inspection reports, checklists, and operational records.
• Work effectively with supervisors and team members to meet operational schedules and customer requirements.
• Support other operational activities as assigned by the supervisor to meet business needs.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.
• Perform other duties assigned by your supervisor.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with QHSE requirements, company procedures, and applicable industry standards.

Skills and Experience:

Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow HSE procedures.

Able to perform physical and manual handling and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Ability to use basic hand tools and workshop equipment safely.

Forklift driving experience or licence is an advantage but not essential.

Good teamwork with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Able to follow work instructions accurately and complete tasks within required timelines.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete simple documentation and identify equipment.

Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, logistics, construction, manufacturing, or offshore support environment is an advantage.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

English communication skills will be an added advantage.
