Job summary

Spektra Watertech is seeking a qualified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation Engineer to oversee daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our wastewater treatment facilities. The candidate must hold a valid CP Certificate recognized by the DOE and have 1–2 years of WWTP operations experience.

You will monitor process parameters, collect samples, and prepare reports while ensuring compliance with SHE regulations and coordinating with clients on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• CP Certificate recognized by DOE is required.
• Over 1–2 years of practical wastewater treatment plant operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily WWTP operation, monitoring process parameters and controlling treatment.
• Identify and address operational issues; recommend process improvements.
• Collect and analyze wastewater samples; maintain accurate operation data and test results.
• Oversee equipment function and coordinate corrective/preventive actions with clients.
• Prepare and submit operation/performance reports to clients.
• Provide training to plant operators to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Ensure SHE regulations are followed at the plant.

We are seeking a qualified and responsible Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation Engineer to oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our wastewater treatment facilities. The candidate at least hold a valid CePIETSO PCP and/or BP Certificate recognized by the Department of Environment (DOE) or relevant authority.

Key Responsibilities

Involve in daily operation of WWTP, including monitoring of process parameters, adjusting control and optimizing treatment process.

Identify, address issues, diagnose and resolve operational issues. Recommend process improvement to enhance system efficiency.

Collect, analyse, and interpret wastewater samples to ensure operational efficiency. Keep accurate records of operational data and test results for reporting purposes.

Oversee the functioning of WWTP plant equipment and communicate to clients for corrective and preventive actions.

Prepare and submit reports on the plant’s operation and performance to client.

Provide training and guidance to plant operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations within the plant.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

At least possess a valid Competent Person (CP) Certificate for wastewater treatment plant operation issued/recognized by DOE.

Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience in wastewater treatment plant operations.

Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, plant equipment, and environmental compliance standards.

Proficient in report writing and use of monitoring tools and water analysis test equipment.

Good problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
