Job summary

Advanced Assembly Materials in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking an experienced Waste Water Treatment Specialist to lead a small team in operating and maintaining a physical-chemical WWTP. You will ensure compliance with DOE guidelines, monitor effluent quality, and drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency and environmental performance.

Advanced Assembly Materials – Pasir Gudang, Johor

Involves wastewater management, recycling, waste disposal, environmental sustainability, and environmental issues as well as knowledge of DOE environmental law. It also includes on the environmental ISO 14K Impact and Aspect Objective Target projects / corporate level.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coach a team of technician and supervisor to operate and maintenance a physical chemical treatment of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP)
• Ensure wastewater treatment plant operation in according to EQA (Industrial Effluent) guideline and full compliance on final discharge wastewater quality
• Review the daily, weekly, and monthly wastewater operation report
• Ensure wastewater operation data in compliance to DOE Performance monitoring guidelines
• Ensure WWTP equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with the schedule, technical support, and improvement of wastewater treatment plant
• Ensure proper handling/management on the Schedule Waste disposal to licensed contractor
• Report any abnormality of the wastewater operation to the top management and advise on immediately action

About you

• Degree in Environment, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any other relevant field
• Competent person for CePIETSO(PCP) Certificate (Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment System (Physical Chemical Process)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in waste water treatment plant manufacturing environment
• Possess good and effective communication skill with all levels with the organization, suppliers and customers
• Ability to provide leadership, direction, identify and resolve issues with other departments group effectively
• Able to work long hours and under high-pressure in fast paced environment
• Able to implement and carry-out improvement opportunities to identify profits and increase productivity
• Mature and pleasant personality with highly energetic and enthusiastic
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
