Novolyte Technologies in Malaysia seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to operate and optimize wastewater and waste gas treatment systems, ensuring compliance with emission limits and regulatory requirements. You will perform inspections, calibration, maintenance, and prepare chemicals while maintaining records.

Operate , Monitor and optimize the performance of waste water & waste gas treatment systems to ensure compliance with emission limits.
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and verification of monitoring instruments and control devices used
Conduct preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
Ensure calibration activities are carried out and maintain records.
Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of treatment facilities.
Prepare and replenish treatment chemicals according to operational requirements.
Support environmental monitoring activities including wastewater sampling and air emission monitoring.
Ensure proper identification, segregation, labeling, storage, and handling of scheduled waste according to regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Participate in emergency response activities related and respond to incidents involving Waste water and waste gas treatment system.
Participate and support in programs, campaigns, and initiatives organized by the company.
Conduct wastewater sampling and laboratory testing to monitor WWTS performance and ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
Maintain accurate test records and report any abnormal results or process deviations.
Support communication and site inspections with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental management system standards (e.g., ISO 14001& ISO45001).
Support certification audits, surveillance audits, and recertification processes.
Maintain and update documentation, procedures, and records in line with certification requirements.
Ensure compliance with local environmental laws and company EHS policies.
Identify environmental risks and implement control measures to prevent pollution.
Support environmental programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Diploma or above in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related .
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in wastewater treatment, waste gas treatment, environmental engineering, or EHS-related operations.
Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems, including neutralization systems, biological treatment, filtration systems, chemical dosing systems, or related facilities.
Experience in chemical, battery, semiconductor, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
Familiarity with Malaysian environmental regulations and DOE compliance requirements is an advantage.
Good understanding of wastewater and waste gas treatment technologies and operating principles.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, especially Malaysian requirements.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
Ability to monitor, analyze, and interpret system performance data.
Good communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams and external parties.
Proficient in maintaining operational records and environmental documentation.
Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment System Operation (CePIETSO) certification is an added advantage.
Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and environmental auditing practices will be an advantage.
