Gultech (Malaysia)Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified facilities engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of critical utility systems, including WWTP, RO/CEDI, scrubber and dust collection equipment.
The role requires reading P&ID and drawings, strong leadership, and experience with DOE regulations, environmental safety, and ISO standards. You will coordinate with Production, Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient manufacturing operations.
Lead the operation and maintenance of WWTP, RO/CEDI, scrubber and dust collection systems.
Monitor system performance, environmental compliance and key operating parameters.
Lead technicians, contractors and service providers to ensure smooth daily operation and maintenance.
Drive system optimization, reliability, cost reduction and resource efficiency.
Manage environmental compliance, including DOE requirements, Scheduled Waste and chemical safety.
Coordinate facility improvement projects, audits, inspections and regulatory submissions.
Prepare annual operating and maintenance budgets and improvement plans.
Work closely with Production, Engineering and EHS teams to support manufacturing operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5-10 years’ experience in facilities/utilities, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of WWTP, water treatment (RO/CEDI) and air pollution control systems.
Able to read P&ID and engineering drawings.
Strong troubleshooting, leadership and project coordination skills.
Knowledge of Malaysia DOE regulations, Scheduled Waste and chemical safety.
CePIETSO / DOE competency certification is an added advantage.
Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is an added advantage.
