Job summary

Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor in the WTA department to lead service operations for trucks. You will plan workloads, allocate resources, and ensure timely, quality repairs in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor mechanics, coordinate with Parts, and drive improvements while upholding Volvo standards and a strong safety culture. The role requires seven years in the commercial vehicle sector with at least three years in management and relevant automotive

Qualifications

• Malaysian Skills Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills
• Competencies required, taken from the Volvo Leadership competencies

Responsibilities

• Manage Workshop workload planning using workshop planner software.
• Allocate and log time on/off job lines; assign work to Technicians with the right skills.
• Advise Technicians on trouble shooting and repair estimation.
• Ensure each job has defined scope and target completion time.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure timely stock and supply.
• Develop and coach production staff; maintain a high level of teamwork.
• Review processes and implement improvements; respond to technical queries.
• Lead ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 implementation and uphold HSE standards.
