Job summary

Swarovski is seeking a Workday Functional Developer to translate business needs into scalable HR solutions and drive process improvements.

Based in our Global Business Services footprint with a Malaysia presence, this hybrid role requires strong Workday expertise, superb English, and the ability to partner with HR Operations and managers across borders to deliver value.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar Workday-focused role.
• Excellent command of English (proficiency).
• Extensive hands-on Workday experience across modules, preferably Talent & Performance.
• Experience with HRIS aspects of HR processes.
• Strong analytical ability to review data and identify relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse, global stakeholders and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into functional Workday requirements.
• Configure Workday, implement improvements, and lead project activities.
• Maintain data quality and update training documentation.
• Map business processes with stakeholders and optimize adoption.
• Advise HR Specialists and Managers on Workday usage and best practices.

We’re looking for a Workday Functional Developer who combines strong functional expertise with a passion for process improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous learning. You will leverage your Workday knowledge to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, optimize HR processes, drive feature adoption, and ensure the platform continues to deliver value to the business.

About the job

• Research new enhancements and education opportunities on a regular basis through Workday Community.
• Responsible for translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Responsible for Workday configurations, implement new or improved solutions and coordinate and lead activities related to project work plans.
• Responsible for document changes accordingly and updating the respective training manuals and relevant documentation.
• Responsible for maintaining data quality and integrity for the assigned area.
• Partner with stakeholders to map out business processes and find the best way of implementing and optimizing these through Workday.
• Advise and train HR Specialists, HR Operations and Managers on using Workday and sharing best practices.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and HR Operations in order to ensure alignment of the Workday Feature Adoption Roadmap for the assigned area with the business need.

About you

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent command in English (proficiency).
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Workday ideally across all functional areas with in-depth knowledge for at least 2 modules preferably in Talent & Performance Module (Workday Certified preferred).
• Experience of the HRIS aspects of HR Processes such as performance review, merit cycle, onboarding processes or benefits.
• Analytical ability to review data and see relationships and possesses strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong listener.
• A team player with excellent organizational, prioritization, project and time management skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment which is undergoing transformational change.
• Ability to build effective work relationships at all levels of the organization and speak in a way that other less technical colleagues can understand.
• Experience supporting and partnering with diverse and globally dispersed stakeholders and team members.
