Job summary

Autowell (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Wiring Technician to join its Malaysia manufacturing team in Shah Alam.

The role involves wiring, assembly, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems within PV automation facilities. The candidate should hold a diploma/certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field and have hands-on experience with electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Wiring Technician or similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in PV automation or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques.
• Ability to use electrical tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to electrical work.
• Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wiring and Assembly:

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Assemble electrical components and wiring harnesses according to engineering specifications.

Install and route wiring in control cabinets and automation equipment.

2. Electrical Installation:

Install and connect electrical components, such as sensors, switches, PLCs, and motors.

Perform initial testing of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.

3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to wiring, circuits, and control systems.

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.

4. Quality Control:

Ensure all wiring and electrical installations meet quality standards and safety regulations.

Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with engineering specifications.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of wiring diagrams, installation procedures, and test results.

Prepare reports on wiring activities, including any modifications or adjustments made during installation or troubleshooting.
