Job summary

Wuxi Autowell Technology Co., Ltd. is expanding its Malaysia operations and is seeking a talented quality inspector with a strong background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing quality control.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings, handling sheet metal fabrication and precision inspection, and using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM/2.5D systems to ensure product conformance and traceability.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings; machining drawing experience preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, or machinery manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in basic measuring instruments: vernier calipers, outside micrometers, height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to inspection plans, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Accurately record inspection results, complete inspection reports, and ensure proper identification and traceability of inspected products.
• Verify that documents, product labels, tooling, measuring instruments, gauges, and related equipment are organized and maintained within the work area.
• Conduct routine maintenance, calibration verification, and upkeep of measuring instruments and inspection tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Identify, report, and follow up on quality issues or non-conformities, and support corrective and preventive actions when required.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management systems, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Achieve departmental objectives and perform other duties or assignments as directed by supervisors or management.

Job Description:We are seeking a talented quality inspector that is familiar with Solar, Manufacturing & Semiconductor industries best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in quality inspection within the manufacturing industry. This role involves using various inspection tools.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Polytechnic education or above.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings; machining drawing experience is preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, or machinery manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in the use of basic measuring instruments, including vernier calipers, outside micrometers, height gauges, and related inspection tools.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), 2.5D measurement systems, or optical projectors/comparators will be an added advantage.
