Job summary

KS IT Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on technician to perform site surveys, install and maintain power systems, batteries, UPS, and related equipment. You will handle wiring, testing, commissioning, and basic civil/structural work, with focus on safety, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires PW2/PW4, CIDB, NIOSH, and WAH certifications, a valid GDL license, and willingness to work weekends and ad-hoc hours.

Qualifications

• PW2/PW4, CIDB, NIOSH, WAH certifications.
• Valid GDL license with good driving record.
• Knowledge of single- and three-phase electrical systems, including drawing, wiring, testing, commissioning.
• Basic knowledge of civil and structural works.
• Ability to perform welding and/or splicing work.
• Basic understanding of safety and health regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work on weekends and handle ad-hoc jobs during odd hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to understand site requirements and restrictions, and prepare proposals accordingly
• Install, perform routine inspections, maintenance, and preventive maintenance on power systems, batteries, and UPS
• Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring including distribution boards, control panels, and correction of VAC/VDC circuits
• Install and maintain cabling (data, fiber, and power)
• Test and commission power equipment
• Install and dismantle equipment such as poles and server racks
• Perform trunking and install GI and PVC piping
• Prepare and monitor stock levels

You will install and dismantle equipment such as poles and server racks, perform trunking, and install GI and PVC piping. You will also manage inventory by preparing and monitoring stock levels.
