Job summary

CK East Construction Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Wireman on a full-time basis to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring on construction sites in line with blueprints and codes.

You will collaborate with electricians and engineers, read technical drawings, use hand and power tools safely, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering reliable electrical installations.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification as a Wireman or equivalent electrical trade qualification.
• 3–5 years of practical experience on construction sites.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, cables, conduits and distribution systems per blueprints and project specs.
• Terminate and connect wires to switches, outlets, panels and equipment.
• Route and secure cables through walls, ceilings and floors.
• Test circuits to ensure safe and correct operation.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wiring and components.
• Coordinate electrical work with electricians, engineers and trades.
• Adhere to health, safety, codes and company policies.

About the role

CK East Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and experienced Wireman to join our construction team on a full-time basis. Based in Kampung Sungai Penchala, Kuala Lumpur, this is a hands‑on position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a Wireman, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring systems and associated components on construction sites. This position is essential to ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

Installing electrical wiring, cables, conduits and distribution systems in accordance with blueprints, technical drawings and project specifications

Terminating and connecting wires to switches, outlets, circuit breakers, panels and other electrical equipment

Running and securing electrical cables through walls, ceilings, floors and other structural elements

Testing electrical circuits and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely

Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical wiring and components

Collaborating with electricians, engineers and other construction trades to coordinate electrical work on site

Adhering to all health and safety regulations, building codes and company policies

Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively

Troubleshooting electrical issues and providing practical solutions

What we’re looking for

Recognised qualification or certification as a Wireman or equivalent electrical trade qualification

Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in electrical wiring installation on construction sites

In‑depth knowledge of electrical wiring systems, codes, standards and safety practices

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical drawings

Competence in using hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment

Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction and electrical work

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a construction team

Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Valid identification and credentials as required by local labour regulations

Preferred experience with modern electrical systems and smart building technologies
