Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking an experienced engineer to own the Wire Bond production line, ensuring sustained yield and quality. You will work hands-on on the shop floor, drive improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D and Quality to ensure robust processes for new products.

The role emphasizes problem solving, documentation, and cost/yield optimization, with a preference for candidates experienced in high-volume IC/LED manufacturing and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferred with 8+ years in High Volume Manufacturing and Complex processes for IC or LED manufacturing.
• Experience in the Wire Bond process is highly preferred; Six Sigma Belt is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for line sustaining issues and full accountability of outgoing yield and quality of Wire Bond process.
• Update documentation on a timely manner (FMEA, WI, POCAP, CP, Build sheet, etc).
• Hands-on operation and run the equipment/process in production mode daily.
• Collaborate with equipment, PO & Quality team on issues; work with R&D for new product development to ensure robust process and manufacturability.
• Initiate cost and yield improvement projects requiring upstream process changes.
