Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Specialist, IT Infrastructure to manage and support VMware/Windows servers, operating systems, and Active Directory within our Celestica enterprise environment in Penang. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and improve the virtual infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security while troubleshooting incidents.

Qualifications

• Extensive VMware Enterprise experience (VMware 7, 8, 9) and Windows Server Enterprise experience (Win 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
• Minimum 5 years as SME for VMware/Windows Server; architecting systems and daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of vSphere/vCenter, NSX-T networking & security, and storage (iSCSI SAN, FC SAN).
• Experience with vendor and procurement processes; ability to work with remote IT teams and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Intel/VMware/Windows servers/AD within Celestica enterprise environment.
• Install, maintain, upgrade, and improve virtual infrastructure; monitor reliability, performance, and security.

• Manage and support Intel/VMware/Windows servers/operating systems and Active Directory that constitute the Celestica global enterprise server environment.
• These duties include Vmware and Windows Server administration tasks, operating systems management, hardware, and software architecture, installation, configuration, and support, system/admin security and setup
• The Specialist, IT Infrastructure will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the virtual infrastructure and operating environments, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance, and security of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring and upkeeping the virtual infrastructure and operating environments; responding to incidents & problems, planning for growth, deployment of new technologies as well as designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and performing testing of virtual infrastructure, server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users, and the acquisition, replacement, and decommissioning of related equipment, software, and services.

A successful Windows Admin should have:

• Extensive VMware Enterprise experience (VMware 7, 8, 9)
• Extensive Windows Server Enterprise experience (Win 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022)
• Minimum of 5 years experience as the SME for VMware and Windows Server for architecting systems, and daily operating procedures. projects, consultations, and critical incidents
• In-depth working knowledge of VMWare/server virtualization environments, VMware hosts, clusters, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Hyper V, NSX-T networking & security
• Demonstrate deep technical experience including architecting, sizing, designing, installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting multiple varieties of Windows-based solutions,
• Strong troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work in a group and individually
• Working knowledge of mid-range and enterprise storage systems in iSCSI SAN, FC SAN, FC switch
• Extensive experience in dealing with senior management, application support teams, and other business partners
• Extensive experience in working with remote IT teams
• Extensive experience in directing and dealing with third-party support teams
• Practical knowledge of standard quotation and purchasing processes
• Practical experience in dealing directly with vendors and commodity/procurement departments
• A basic understanding of networking is required
