Job summary

LB ADVANCED MATERIAL ASIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Wet Grinding Operator to oversee patrol inspection and local operations in wet grinding, sand milling, coating, and washing/filter pressing areas. The role supports start-up/shutdown coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a high school or vocational diploma, with 1+ year on-site chemical plant experience and willingness to undergo 3–6 months of on-the-job training. Bilingual in Chinese-English or English-Malay is required.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational diploma or above.
• Chemical or mechanical-related major preferred.
• Over 1 year on-site experience in chemical plants.
• Willing to undergo 3–6 months of on-the-job training and pass assessment.
• Familiar with on-site operation and emergency handling of filters and mills.
• Bilingual Chinese-English or English-Malay.

Responsibilities

• Patrol inspection and local operations of equipment in wet grinding, sand milling, coating, and water washing/filter pressing areas; support start-up and shutdown coordination.
• Handle filter cake unloading abnormalities and support filter cloth inspection and online washing.
• Perform equipment switching, commissioning standby equipment, and trial run confirmation; check pump seals and lubrication.
• Support laboratory sampling and confirm sample representativeness.
• Handle leaks and spills and perform maintenance support such as temporary filter/screen cleaning.
• Fill in area patrol records and equipment defect reports; implement 5S and on-site handover.

Wet Grinding Operator responsible for patrol inspection and local operations of equipment in the wet grinding, sand milling, coating, and water washing/filter pressing areas; support start-up and shutdown coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol inspection and local operations of equipment in the wet grinding, sand milling, coating, and water washing/filter pressing areas; support start-up and shutdown coordination
• Handle filter cake unloading abnormalities (sticking to plates, deviation, incomplete discharge), and support filter cloth inspection and online washing
• Perform equipment switching, commissioning of standby equipment, and trial run confirmation; confirm pump seals, lubrication, and cooling status
• Support laboratory sampling (slurry concentration, filter cake moisture, etc.) and confirm sample representativeness
• Handle leaks and spills and minor on-site abnormalities; perform maintenance support such as temporary filter/screen cleaning
• Fill in area patrol records and equipment defect reports; implement 5S and on-site handover

About you

• High school/vocational school diploma or above
• Chemical engineering or mechanical-related major preferred
• More than 1 year of on-site experience in chemical plants
• Willing to undergo 3–6 months of on-the-job training and pass the assessment
• Familiar with on-site operation and emergency handling of membrane filter presses, sand mills, and coating tanks
• Chinese-English or English-Malay bilingual
