Job summary

OAG Group of Companies is seeking a hands-on Chemical Technician to supervise manufacturing activities and support R&D and QA in a dynamic facility located in Selangor, Malaysia. The role involves receiving, loading, unloading inbound/outbound shipments, stock checks, and maintaining accurate records.

You will assist Chemists, perform material handling, and coordinate with logistics for timely shipments. Fresh graduates are welcome; basic English is required for report writing and documentation.

• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Job description

To supervise and execute chemical manufacturing activities, perform receiving, loading, and unloading of inbound and outbound chemical shipments, conduct raw material stock checks and inventory monitoring, support Chemists in R&D activities, and carry out the repair and maintenance of chemical-related tools and equipment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Chemical Manufacturing

• Prepare and pack raw materials as per production card or as per instructed by Chemist
• Supervise the blending activity and assist Chemist to perform QC
• Drumming, packing, labelling and palletizing the final products
• Fill up the relevant forms and keep a proper record for approval

Chemical Drum Packing and Loading/Unloading

• Drumming, packing, labelling and palletizing the final products
• Receive incoming cargo, perform unloading activities, and complete all related documentation and forms
• Identify, quantify, and verify products to ensure accuracy prior to release and loading for chemical mobilization to project sites.
• Communicate with logistics personnel regarding cargo readiness and provide timely updates on cargo laden status to ensure efficient shipment coordination

Chemical Stock-check and Inventory Monitoring

• Conduct monthly chemical stock checks and maintain organized storage to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
• Prepare, maintain, and file accurate monthly inventory reports in accordance with company procedures and record-keeping requirements

Chemical R&D and Revalidation

• Assist Chemists in R&D activities, including chemical extraction, handling, and transfer operations from drums and other storage containers
• Operate chemical processing and testing equipment to support chemical revalidation activities, ensuring compliance with established procedures and safety standards
• Conduct timely repair and preventive maintenance of chemical equipment to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime
• Communicate and coordinate with the Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) team to troubleshoot equipment issues and facilitate repair activities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering or a related Technical Discipline
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience; fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Basic proficiency in spoken and written English, including report writing
• Technically competent with the ability to prepare documentation and reports
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy
