MarineCraft Global Sdn Bhd is seeking a Grinder to perform grinding and finishing on welded metal surfaces within a busy fabrication environment in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The role requires at least 1 year of grinder experience in oil & gas or fabrication, adherence to safety procedures, and strong teamwork. Competitive hourly wage and standard Mon-Fri hours with potential OT are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Grinder in the fabrication or oil & gas sector.
• Familiarity with grinder operations, bevel preparation, and welding support tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in workshop or site conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding and finishing work on metal surfaces after welding.
• Prepare bevels, remove slag, and smooth edges prior to welding operations.
• Align and coordinate tasks closely with welders to ensure accuracy and project efficiency.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any defects promptly.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report daily duties and progress to the supervisor and foreman.
• Support other fabrication tasks as required by project demands.

The Grinder position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality finishing of welded joints, accurate preparation for welding, and maintaining fabrication standards.
