Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kajang, Malaysia, is seeking kitchen staff to prepare and organise ingredients and cooking stations before service begins, and to assist in preparing vegetables, meats, fish and other ingredients to specified standards.

You will support dish production according to recipes and plating requirements, maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness, operate equipment safely under supervision, help with stock rotation and inventory, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organising ingredients and cooking stations before service begins
• Assisting in the preparation of vegetables, meats, fish and other ingredients to specified standards
• Supporting the production of dishes according to established recipes and plating requirements
• Maintaining standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and correctly under supervision
• Contributing to the smooth running of kitchen service by responding promptly to direction from senior chefs
• Assisting with stock rotation, storage and inventory management
• Learning and developing knowledge of menu items, ingredients and cooking methods
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment
