Bend Weld Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Welding Process Engineer to develop and refine welding methods for high-quality production. You will drive process documentation, setup, problem solving and continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

Develop, establish and improve welding processes and manufacturing methods to meet production requirements.
Prepare and maintain welding process specifications, work instructions, process parameters and related documentation.
Support welding process setup, troubleshooting and optimization for production.
Analyze welding defects, process issues and production problems and implement effective corrective actions.
Conduct root cause analysis, process improvement and continuous improvement activities.
Work closely with Production and QA teams to improve product quality, productivity and process stability.
Support new product introduction (NPI), process development and production trial activities.
Review drawings, specifications and customer requirements to ensure the appropriate welding process is applied.
Support the selection and evaluation of welding machines, equipment, fixtures, tools and consumables.
Establish and monitor suitable welding parameters to achieve consistent product quality.
Conduct process validation and assist in the implementation of PFMEA, Control Plan and process documentation.
Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel on welding processes and equipment.
Monitor process performance and recommend improvements to reduce rejection, rework, downtime and production cost.
Ensure welding processes comply with company quality, safety and customer requirements.
Perform other engineering and production-related duties assigned by the superior.

Degree/Diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
Preferably 2–5 years of working experience in welding, manufacturing or process engineering.
Candidates with experience in MIG, TIG, Spot Welding or robotic welding will have an added advantage.
Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing or automotive/electronics manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge of welding parameters, welding defects and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiar with process improvement, root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and basic quality tools is an advantage.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with Production, QA and other departments.
