About the role

Horizontech Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Welder Fitter Sheet Metal to join our engineering team in Seberang Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, combining welding expertise with sheet metal fabrication and fitting work. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assembled products that meet our strict quality and safety standards. This role is essential to our production capability and directly contributes to delivering excellence in our industrial engineering services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components with precision and strength
• Fabricate and shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Fit and assemble metal parts and subassemblies, ensuring proper alignment and tolerance adherence
• Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to verify quality standards and dimensional accuracy
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and sheet metal machinery in safe working condition
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately
• Prepare materials and workpieces for welding and fabrication processes
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality targets

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Welder Fitter or Sheet Metal Worker in an industrial or manufacturing environment
