Job summary

WANGCHENG CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. seeks a skilled welder to perform welding and fabrication for advertising signboards and metal structures. You will handle TIG/Argon welding, fabricate stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and assemble signboard frames and supports.

Candidates with 1–2 years of welding experience, and proficiency in TIG welding, are preferred. The role requires basic drawing interpretation and on-site support when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years welding experience required
• Experience in TIG/Argon welding
• Experience with stainless steel letters, metal letters, signboards, or steel frame fabrication preferred
• Able to perform basic welding and fabrication independently
• Familiar with welding, grinding, polishing and finishing of stainless steel and mild steel
• Able to read basic drawings, measurements and fabrication requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication for advertising signboards, metal letters, stainless steel letters, and metal structures.
• TIG / Argon welding; MIG / CO₂ welding when required.
• Weld and fabricate stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium and other metals.
• Fabricate metal letters, signboard frames, structures and customised metal products per drawings.
• Assemble and weld steel frames, signboard structures, brackets and supports.
• Carry out cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing and finishing work.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Perform welding and fabrication work for advertising signboards, metal letters, stainless steel letters, and metal structures.

Perform TIG / Argon welding and other welding works such as MIG / CO₂ welding when required.

Weld and fabricate stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and other metal materials.

Fabricate metal letters, signboard frames, structures, and other customised metal products according to drawings and measurements.

Carry out welding and assembly of steel frames, signboard structures, brackets, and supports.

Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing, and other metal fabrication work.

Ensure welding quality, measurements, alignment, and finishing meet the required specifications.

Assist with on-site installation of signboards and metal structures when required.

Operate and maintain welding machines, cutting machines, grinders, and other workshop tools properly.

Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Job Requirements

At least 1–2 years of relevant welding experience; experience in signboard or metal fabrication is an advantage.

Must have practical experience in TIG / Argon welding.

Experience in stainless steel letters, metal letters, advertising signboards, or steel frame fabrication is preferred.

Able to perform basic welding and fabrication work independently.

Familiar with welding, grinding, polishing, and finishing of stainless steel and mild steel.

Able to understand basic drawings, measurements, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.

Responsible, hardworking, detail-oriented, and committed to producing good-quality work.

Willing to work overtime and assist with on-site installation when required.

Relevant welding certificates or technical qualifications will be an added advantage.
