Job summary

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager (Wedding Specialist) to join our luxury sales team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. You will drive revenue growth by targeting weddings and events, building relationships with couples, planners, and corporate clients, and delivering exceptional service.

You will lead the full sales cycle from inquiry to contract, coordinate with events teams, conduct site tours, and present tailored proposals.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in hospitality, hotel, events or wedding sectors.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a sales or customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of wedding and events market and pricing strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin or Malay desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and close wedding and events opportunities through prospecting and relationship management.
• Manage end-to-end sales cycle from inquiry to contract and post-event follow-up.
• Prepare tailored wedding and events proposals and packages.
• Conduct site inspections and venue tours for couples and planners.
• Coordinate with events and banqueting teams for seamless execution.
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities and bookings in CRM.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Develop targeted marketing strategies for local market wedding packages.
• Represent the hotel at wedding fairs and networking events to generate leads.
